The Torah was given to the Jewish People by God at Mount Sinai and throughout their forty years of wandering in the wilderness. It is not a history book, although it contains historical material. It is not a book of stories, although it contains some of the greatest stories ever told. It is the communication of the will of God, and the guide to attaining closeness to the Divine. Deep Waters reveals some of the lessons and messages of the Torah and the Jewish festivals, and applies them to our modern day lives. About the Author Rabbi Arnie Singer has been teaching Torah, counseling, and inspiring Jews in NYC for over a decade. He is a graduate of Yeshiva College, studied at the Caroline Gruss Kollel in Jerusalem, and at Mesivta Tifereth Jerusalem in NYC where he received rabbinic ordination.
